About Mime AcademyMoinul Haque’s Mime Academy, India is the first institute to teach the art of mime in the North Eastern region of India. A number of his students have got National Scholarships from the ministry of culture, government of India. Mime Academy after completing two decades, celebrates the artistry of Moinul Haque, the pioneer mime artiste of North-East of India. This is the first and only institution of its kind in this northeastern region of India founded by Moinul Haque at Guwahati, Assam in 1991. The institution provides a yearlong diploma course of mime. The maximum number of students get admitted in one year is twenty-four. The main aim of establishing this institution is to provide a proper training and guidance to the young artistes who are the next generation in the field of culture. Besides the year long training period students get opportunity to become a substantial part of various production activities and create an improvised work under the able guidance of Moinul Haque.
